Game Day Sherpa Fleece Blanket

100% polyester, 3mm thick, with a sublimated plaid on one face and plush sherpa on the other. The color goes into the fibre rather than onto it, so a fold doesn't crack it and a season doesn't fade it. The sherpa side is the one that ends up against your neck. Three sizes: 30″ × 40″ for one person in a camp chair, 50″ × 60″ for two on a bench, 60″ × 80″ for the back of the car and everyone in it.

The plaid is built for your school, not borrowed from a catalog. You give us the name and the colors; we draw the tartan around them and set the script across the middle. The stripe widths, the overcheck, the color that carries the field — all of it comes from what your team actually wears. It reads like a team, because it is one.

You know the third quarter of a night game in October. The sun went down at halftime and took ten degrees with it, and the people who brought a blanket are the ones still standing at the end. You'll end up handing a corner of it to whoever sat down next to you, because that is what it's for. By November it lives in the back of the car and stops making it into the house at all.
